Fuel Economy Log – Week 14

by Brian Carr on August 8, 2006

Well, after yesterday/today’s rather hot-button topic, it feels like quite a letdown to post this week’s fuel economy log!

This week I drove 370.1 miles, used 11.269 gallons of gas and paid $3.00 per gallon, all of which equates to an average fuel economy of 32.84 mpg, or 13.2% above my car’s average.

This 13.2% increase equates to a “savings” of roughly $.40 per gallon, which saved me $4.51 on this particular fill up.  Not bad.

Combining this week’s savings with my previous 13 week total, I have now “saved” $68.80.

While that may not seem like much, spread that out over an entire year and I should save over $250 on gas.
